Party In the Park
The party was held on May 29th 2011.
The branch, club and ladies section worked together to ensure that the day was a great success.
A large number of people attended and the bands were all well received.
Armed Forces Day & Bowling
The annual Armed Forces Day parade was held on Saturday 25th June 2011.
This was again well supported by the local community.
The branch paraded through the town to the lawn led the branch and visiting standards.
Afterwards it was back to the Club in Park Road for a drink, buffet and entertainment.
The Bowling competition was held on Sunday 26th June at the lawn bowling club and well attended.
A total of £1502.73 was raised for the poppy appeal from both the events.
Annual Boat Trip
The boat trip was again organised by Richard Hayward and the hardy sailors set off on Saturday 20th August.
The trip this year was from Dawlish breakwater to Topsham. Despite rough seas and pouring rain a good time was had by all. On arrival in Topsham the rain cleared and on the journey back the sun was shining.
Richard was able to donate £101.43 to the Poppy Appeal.
