Welcome

Welcome to the Royal British Legion Dawlish Branch.

The British Legion was founded on 15th May 1921. The basic purpose was to care for those who had suffered as a result of service in the Armed Forces during the Great War

The Legion was to be a voice for those men and others that came after them. Although the needs of the ex-serviceman has changed over the years the Legion remains in place to safeguard their welfare, interest and memory.

The Legion continues to provide financial, social and emotional support to the millions who have served and are currently serving, this includes wives, children, partners and widows. They know if they need our support now or in the future we are always on active duty for them.

The Branch Committee meets on the second Friday of every month at 2000hrs in the social club in Park Road, Dawlish.

The Legion continues to be the custodian of Remembrance and takes an active part in the annual Remembrance Parade which is followed by the Remembrance Service at St Gregory’s Parish Church.
